MBA Admissions Process:

Admissions to the MBA program at SHIMS are based on a combination of factors to ensure that the institute enrols highly qualified and motivated candidates. The process includes:

  • Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) or Management Aptitude Test (MAT), which evaluate quantitative, verbal, and logical reasoning abilities. A valid score in either of these tests is a prerequisite for admission.
  • Group Discussion: Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in a group discussion, which assesses their communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and teamwork.
  • Personal Interview: The personal interview round allows the SHIMS admission panel to evaluate candidates on their aptitude for management, interpersonal skills, and motivation to join the program.
  • Academic Record: Candidates past academic performance, including their marks in the 10th, 12th, and undergraduate levels, are also considered during the selection process.
  • Work Experience: While not mandatory, relevant work experience may provide an edge to candidates in the admission process.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA degree course should have passed any degree of the University of Calicut (including degree programmes of SDE, University of Calicut) or of any other University or institute or institution recognized by the UGC or AICTE.
